As Fab Metal Fortnight comes to an end we found this useful extract
The HSE Campaign is focussing on fabricated metal premises that take part in welding and activities involving metal working fluids and inspectors will be carrying out no less than 250 visits. This is part of the overall inspection programme for the Manufacturing Sector in 2018-19 focusing on Occupational Lung Disease (OLD). The focus of the inspections will be on OLD from exposure to welding fume and Metal Working Fluid (MWF) mist to ensure that adequate controls for OLD risks are provided and used correctly!
