Our Emergency First Aid at Work Chesterfield is a one-day course that will help you meet your regulatory requirements if your risk assessment indicates first aid training covering emergency protocols only, is sufficient for your workplace.
This Emergency First Aid at Work course is suitable for anyone who might need to provide first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill at work. For people aged 16+ at organisations where the first aid needs assessment identifies a requirement for somebody to be trained in emergency first aid. No prior first aid knowledge is required.
This one day course covers common injuries and illnesses meeting the standards specified by the Health and Safety Executive.
Emergency First Aid at Work Chesterfield

Course Objective:
To enable a first aider to give emergency first aid to someone with a minor injury or illness.
Course content:
Hands on training
- Legal responsibilities of a first aider
- Main requirements of a first aider
- First Aid equipment and use of medication
- Keeping records
- Emergency response (practical hands on training) dealing with an unconscious person
- Life support including CPR
- Control of minor bleeding
- Treatment of shock
The course includes practical work and theoretical classroom work, including a practical assessment on CPR and first aid. The certificate is valid for 3 years
