Safety Failings Land Construction Company in Court
Following an unannounced safety inspection, the HSE have moved too fine a national construction firm.
Court proceedings followed the general inspection. The HSE identified poor welfare standards, along with inadequate safety provisions.
Further to this, the site in Liverpool also highlighted many dangerous risks. This includes damaged electrical cables, exposed live wires, poor lighting and risks of falls from heights.
Even after achieving compliance, poor standards had began to develop again leading to the fine.
The construction company pleaded guilty in court. They breached Regulation 13(1) of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and Regulation 6(3) of the Work at Height Regulations 2005. They were fined £77,000 and costs of £2,025.52.More News
